Hair Extension Information

What are nano ring hair extensions?

Nano rings are one of the smallest, most discreet, and gentle methods of hair extension application. The nano rings themselves are tiny metal beads (about 90% smaller than micro rings) used to attach individual strands. Each extension strand has a nano tip—a very thin metal wire that slides into the ring along with your natural hair.

Benefits

  • Extremely discreet and hard to see.

  • Very gentle on the natural hair.

  • Perfect for people with fine or thin hair.

  • Easy to maintain and move up.

  • Long-lasting with proper care.

What are keratin hair extensions?

Keratin hair extensions are individual strands of hair that have a small keratin bond at the top. Keratin is a natural protein found in human hair, which makes the method gentle and secure.

Benefits

  • Very natural look—the bonds lie flat and blend easily.

  • Lightweight and comfortable.

  • Long-lasting (usually 3–4 months before removal).

  • Good for most hair types if applied properly.

  • Keratin bonds are durable and hold well even during styling

What are micro ring hair extensions?

Micro ring (also called micro bead or micro loop) extensions are individual hair strands attached using small metal rings. No heat, glue, or chemicals are used, making this a gentle and reusable method.

Benefits

  • No heat or glue – very gentle on hair.

  • Extensions are reusable.

  • Easy to move up and maintain every 6–8 weeks.

  • Good for medium to thick hair types.

  • More affordable maintenance compared to keratin.

What are tape-in hair extensions?

They’re thin wefts of hair with medical-grade adhesive tape at the top. Your natural hair is sandwiched between two tape pieces, so they lay flat and look super natural.

Pros

  • Lightweight and comfortable

  • Blend really well (great for fine hair)

  • Quick install (usually 45–90 minutes)

  • Reusable with proper care

Cons

  • Need maintenance every 6–8 weeks

  • Oil, heavy products, or heat near the tape can make them slip

  • Not ideal if you wash your hair daily

How long do they last?

  • The hair itself: 6–12 months (with good care)

  • The tape: replaced each move-up

Care tips (important!)

  • Wait 48 hours before washing after install

  • Use sulfate-free shampoo

  • Don’t apply conditioner or oils near the tape

  • Brush gently, especially when wet

  • Sleep with hair in a loose braid or pony
